By Matthew Potter | Jan 27, 2009

The U.S Government’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that it had signed a contract with AT&T to provide wireless communication capabilities. NewsOXY.com has a report on the award. The contract is worth about $50 million and will provide Blackberries and wireless laptop connections for the agency. FEMA responds to disasters internal to the United States and obviously good communications are a necessity for it to carry outs it mission.
