Twitter, or "Randomly Bragging About Your Unexceptional Life."

By Catharine P. Taylor | Mar 27, 2009

To close out the week, thought I’d post this dead-on animated sketch about Twitter from Current TV. It’s caught on this week, to say the least. When I first streamed it on YouTube on Monday, it had about 350,000 views. Now it’s just under a million. Best line: “It seems like Twittering is just randomly bragging about your unexceptional life.” Yeah.

You might think that, after watching this, people would slack off on their Twitter habits out of sheer embarrassment, but if the number of times I saw the FAIL Whale this week is any indication, it actually had the opposite effect, particularly on me.

Speaking of which, don’t forget to follow this blog at http://twitter.com/bnetmedia. Have a good weekend.

By the way, I just wanted to thank everyone who's been stopping by here. Traffic for last month broke all records: 260,000 visits, 350,000 page views. And that's not too bad for a site that talks about smelly chemicals and the people who work with them! Much appreciated

    RE: Twitter, or

Good catch on this video. Unfortunately the
unimaginative are doomed to remain so no matter
    the medium.

An interesting summary post of Twitter as a
    protocol rather than a destination:
