Congratulations to Bnet's Chris Morrison

By David Weir | Mar 29, 2009

It’s Sunday. This is not really a media industry post.  But I just want to note that our energy industry blogger, Chris Morrison has placed high on list of the top 50 energy blogs, as determined by The Fixer-Upper Blog.

The Fixer Upper describes itself as a blog covering a range of issues of concern to homeowners, including finance, energy, technology, home ownership and maintenance. “In addition to the discourse we foster on this site, we also attempt to introduce you to other sites and blogs which are likely of interest to homeowners.”

Here is what the blog says about our colleague Chris Morrison: “This blog is regularly updated with the latest energy news and analysis. Popular topics include OPEC, the problems with coal, and Iran.”

Way to go, Chris.

Thank you to Suzane Smith.

  • Hands On with Microsoft's Hohm

PC Magazine - 139 days 16 hours 54 minutes ago

As a new homeowner who purchased a foreclosed fixer-upper, I'm particularly sensitive to home energy costs. So the launch of Microsoft Hohm Monday struck me as particularly serendipitous, both as a journalist and as a potential user. Warning: one serious weakness turned me off.

  • Details On The FTC's DRM Workshop

    TechDirt - 301 days 2 hours 13 minutes ago

At the beginning of January we noted -- with some amount of surprise -- that it appeared that the FTC was preparing a workshop on DRM . When I was in Washington, DC recently, I had the chance to meet some of the folks putting that workshop together, and now they've sent over a more detailed list of topics up for discussion at the session, and...

  • Bob Dinneen in Huffington Post

    GoodFuels - 188 days 13 hours 43 minutes ago

Renewable Fuels Association’s CEO Bob Dinneen in his latest Huffington Post blog: “As with his cover story last year, with the even-handed headline “The Clean Energy Scam” Grunwald’s (TIME author Michael Grunwald) recent article relies on a theory propounded by a source whom he describes as “Princeton scholar Tim Searchinger.” As...

  • 'Codeshare Curse' Blog Arrives and Departs

Aviation Week - 295 days 12 hours 48 minutes ago

Some airline blogs noted the appearance "Codeshare Curse," an apparently anonymously authored site that attacked Southwest for codeshare deals. I say apparently because it's already gone:   Blogger can be sketchy so maybe it's just a glitch and it'll come back, but that's usually not the case when you get this message. As described by Terry...
