Twitter Conference on a Sunday for Twitter-aholics

By Catharine P. Taylor | May 31, 2009

Just a quick note, if you’re a Twitter-aholic, that, for whatever reason, Sunday seemed the perfect day for the first TWTRCON, a conference, as is becoming all the rage, about Twitter. You can follow what speakers ranging from @guykawasaki to @mchammer are saying at #twtrcon. This time around, the conference theme is about using Twitter for business, which, yes, I admit, leads to the inevitable question of why @mchammer, he of the 725,000 followers, is there. Well, he’s on the “Building Your Personal Brand” panel. I love Twitter, but I won’t be following this. It’s too nice a day.

Shameless plug: TWTRCON–the conference on how businesses can make the most of Twitter that I’m happy to say was my idea–is now just over a week away. • WordPress Now Knows Where You Are

Location is quickly becoming all the rage. Now, WordPress is getting into the game, by letting bloggers...

  • Twitter needs young users and regular tweeters to grow past niche

    ZDNet - 174 days 18 hours 1 minute ago

Now that Twitter has received Oprah’s Midas Touch and been the subject of a conference of its own - called Twtrcon - does that mean that it’s “arrived?” Some might argue that Twitter’s growth numbers in recent months are proof enough that the site has gone mainstream. But others are arguing otherwise - and largely because of the...
