Billionaire Steve Wynn and wife headed for divorce — Divorce papers for Wynn Resorts Ltd. chief executive Steve Wynn and his wife were filed March 5 and sealed by a judge in Nevada. It is unknown how the divorce could affect the company – Elaine Wynn is an active board member and both she and her husband each own about 24 million shares of the company. The casino operator reported $210.2 million in net income for 2008. Since January, tabloids reported Steve Wynn was seeing another woman. [Source: Associated Press]

College student sues US Airways for $1 million over lost Xbox –A 21-year-old college student filed a lawsuit seeking $1 million from US Airways for an Xbox he says was taken from his luggage. The Yale University student, Jesse Maiman, said he was on a flight from New Haven, Conn. to Cincinnati when his Xbox 360 disappeared. He alleges he received a “run-around” from the airline and is asking for $1,700 for the video game console and $1 million, the maximum damages allowed. [Source: Associated Press]

Herbst Gaming seeks bankruptcy protectionHerbst Gaming reached an agreement with its lenders to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The agreement also involves splitting the company between the Herbst family and lenders. The plan would reduce $847 million in bank debt and cancel more than $330 million in bond agreements. The company purchased three Primm, Nev. casinos in 2007, which overwhelmed the company with debt and contributed to the bankruptcy filing. [Source: Las Vegas Sun]

Disney announces names of two cruise ships — Walt Disney Co. announced names for its two new cruise ships — Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy. Both will be added to the Disney Cruise Line in 2011 and 2012. Both ships are being constructed in Germany and will have 1,250 staterooms and weigh approximately 128,000 tons. The two are expected to double the cruise line’s capacity.
